Accomplishments

" It seems like only yesterday I was breaking dogs and learning from my grand dad, Del Seelye, a pioneer in bird dog training and handling. He's shown above with Bo Sassy Delibab in 1981, one of the dogs he handled over the years, winner of the Conestoga Vizsla Club's "Beanie" trophy for "best spring derby vizsla" . Today, many Seelye-handled dogs have added their names to this trophy, including Fieldfire's High Octane, the 2003 winner. While this one annual stake is just one derby in a young dog's campaign career, it is interesting to read the names going back to 1969 and see how many young up-and-csomers went on to win a National Championship! Who might the next young prospect be? Is it your pup? Why not train him or her right from the start, in the Seelye bird dog traditions handed down over the years!
